This is an excellent opportunity for an electrical facilities engineer or facilities co-ordinator to join a global business. The role will be approximately 60% administrative, 30% coordinating, and 10% hands-on work. The successful candidate will work closely with the site services manager.
Day-to-day duties for the Facilities Co-ordinator:
- Use of SAP to report defects, monitor raised defects, plan jobs, track PM progress, and completion status.
- Knowledge of LOLER, PSSR, LEV, record keeping, and monitoring inspection due dates.
- Basic electrical and mechanical knowledge.
- Audit compliance preparation, record keeping, and service reports.
- Contract control, inductions, issuing permits (PJHA), and necessary training.
- Create SOPs and edit PMs.
- Monitor energy savings.
- Knowledge of effluent and water treatment.
- Parts ordering and planning for jobs.
- Attend engineering-related meetings.
- Monitor chemical stocks.
- Assist the site service manager as needed, including basic cover duties.
- Log service reports and maintain a database for service due and completed tasks.
Experience required:
- Experience in facilities management.
- Understanding of wiring regulations, 18th edition, and Level 3 electrical qualification; ability to interpret schematics and drawings.
- Computer literacy is essential; experience with CAD or Excel is advantageous.
- Self-motivated, dependable, and capable of managing tasks independently.
- Knowledge of boilers, F-gas, and Legionella is desirable.
- Previous experience as a facilities engineer, site services coordinator, or similar role.
