Job summary

Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Domestic Assistant to support the Facilities Team at Clatterbridge. The role involves cleaning to national standards, waste collection, dishwashing, and occasional opening/closing of buildings.

Applicants must be mobile, flexible, and able to cover leave or sickness with induction provided. DBS check is paid by the applicant; training is provided if no prior domestic experience.

Qualifications

• General education.
• Accredited Level 2 award in cleaning, or willingness to undertake one.
• Good understanding of cleaning services

Responsibilities

• Clean all areas to national cleanliness standards per the cleaning schedule.
• Comply with COSHH regulations.
• Collect daily rubbish and dispose to designated area.
• Wash up mealtime dishes for patients.
• Open or close buildings in exceptional circumstances with prior discussion.
• Notify porters or security of security breaches or vacant buildings.
• Order cleaning materials with supervisor guidance.
• Keep cleaning equipment clean and tidy.
• Report faults to the domestic supervisor.
• Report untoward incidents to appropriate staff.
