Job summary

Somerset NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Generic Worker to join the Facilities Team at the Trust. You will work closely with Facilities Housekeepers, Team Leaders, and Facilities Catering staff to support the delivery of services across the Trust.

The role focuses on maintaining high standards of cleanliness through a planned, methodical approach, and requires a flexible, reliable, and team-driven mindset to help deliver a positive patient experience.

Qualifications

• Flexible, reliable and team-focused.
• Willingness to undertake training in cleaning techniques and infection control.

Responsibilities

• Integral member of the Facilities Team, working with Housekeepers, Team Leaders, and Catering staff.
• Undertake duties to support smooth running of services across the Trust, as directed by the Facilities Team Leader.
• Maintain high cleanliness standards through a planned, methodical approach.
• Participate in mandatory training including Fire Safety, Moving & Handling, COSHH and Infection Control.
