Job summary

DN Colleges Group in Scunthorpe is hiring a Cleaner to maintain high cleanliness standards across classrooms, offices and public areas. The role involves planned and reactive cleaning, moving furniture, and operating cleaning equipment as part of the Estates Cleaning Services team.

The position is 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a salary around £13,660 per year. A six‑month probation and flexible working arrangements may be considered where operationally possible.

Qualifications

• Experience in a cleaning role within a similar environment.
• Ability to read and follow instructions relevant to the role.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to use cleaning equipment and machinery.
• Ability to lift/move furniture and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Clean buildings, classrooms, offices and public areas to a high standard.
• Carry out planned and reactive cleaning.
• Move furniture as required.
• Operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
• Maintain equipment and report faults.
