Job summary

South Norfolk and Broadland Councils are seeking a Cleaner to help provide a safe and pleasant environment across council facilities. Duties include cleaning offices, cloakrooms, reception areas, and cafés, using a range of cleaning equipment and chemicals as appropriate.

You'll be responsible for maintaining cleanliness to a high standard, with attention to hygiene and the predetermined cleaning programme.

Qualifications

• Understanding of basic office/centre cleaning.
• Awareness of COSHH and manual handling.
• Good communication and customer service when interacting with staff and the public.
• Ability to prioritise and organise daily duties.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Willing to work weekends and flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Vacuum, sweep, and mop all floor areas as required.
• Dust and polish furnishings in designated areas.
• Clean windows according to schedule.
• Clean toilets and washbasins; replenish consumables.
• Assist with cleaning Fitness Suites and studios.
• Clean soft play areas where site allows.
• Empty litter and recycling bins.
