Manpower UK is supporting a charitable organisation in Birmingham city centre with a permanent Caretaker role. The successful candidate will manage day-to-day upkeep across a multi-purpose site, ensuring buildings are secure, clean and operational.

The role requires practical caretaking or facilities experience and a hands-on approach. The package includes £26,460 per year, full-time hours, and potential on-site accommodation after discussion.

Qualificações

• Experience in caretaking, facilities, or property maintenance.
• Good DIY and general maintenance skills.
• Experience carrying out basic repairs and upkeep tasks.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive approach and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsabilidades

• General cleaning of communal areas, kitchens, offices and public spaces.
• Carrying out minor repairs and routine maintenance tasks.
• Basic DIY, painting and decorating duties.
• Responding to everyday maintenance issues and reporting larger repairs.
• Conducting routine property inspections.
• Monitoring the general condition and safety of the site.
• Liaising with contractors and providing site access where required.
• Responding appropriately to alarms and property-related alerts.
• Maintaining basic maintenance and inspection records.
• Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the premises.
• Providing a professional, approachable and helpful presence on site.
