Facilities & Building Coordinator

Location: Manchester (East)

Salary: Up to £35K plus training, benefits, and 25 days leave

Working Hours: 08:00am - 16:00pm (Monday to Friday)

Are you an engineer with a background in facilities, building management, or maintenance looking for a permanent, days-based role? Join one of the UK's leading manufacturing companies within their specialization. My client is part of the UK's largest manufacturer of their specialized products, with a global network of over 50,000 employees across 30 countries. Training and progression opportunities are readily available.

Based at their manufacturing facility in Greater Manchester with over 300 staff, you will coordinate facilities improvement and refurbishment projects.

This varied and challenging role combines coordinating CAPEX projects, managing contractors, and ensuring statutory compliance for building safety. It is suitable for a facilities and building management professional who enjoys working in a supportive manufacturing environment, especially as the company invests heavily in improvement projects, including automation.

The Role:

  • Permanent, days-based facilities role within a large manufacturing company
  • Involves office and shop-floor work, leading and coordinating refurbishment projects
  • Managing external contractors and creating simple layout drawings
  • Ensuring health and safety compliance and statutory building safety standards

The Person:

  • Academic background and/or experience in engineering, facilities, or building management
  • Experience managing contractors
  • Basic CAD skills and ability to understand engineering drawings
  • Familiarity with health and safety requirements (IOSH certification preferred)
