Job description

We are looking to recruit a Facilities Assistant (Relief Domestic) position to work at Stepping Hill Hospital and Cover Stockport Community Areas. Working Pattern Monday to Sunday 5 days over 7 day rota.The postholder will be a member of the Trust's Facilities team and will provide a comprehensive relief cleaning service for Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust cleaning service for Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust (PCFT). The Facilities Assistant (Domestic) will work across the Trust's in-patient and/or community settings as assigned, which may include working on wards, clinics or admin areas.The role will include weekend working to provide relief support as required as per a weekly rota.

Main duties of the job

The Facilities Assistant (Relief Domestic) is responsible for carrying out relief cover to provide general cleaning duties at PCFT. Cleaning duties will be carried out in all areas including clinical, sanitary and administration areas, in accordance with the cleaning schedule, policy, procedures, Carry out tasks in line with Trust policy, national cleaning standards and local instruction.o Ensure that infection control, COSHH and health and safety procedures are always followed, including:o Follow the cleaning schedules that have been provided for each area to ensure the areas achieve the required levels of cleanliness at all times.o Report any incidents or near misses as per Trust policy.o Ensure that cleaning equipment and machinery is stored correctly and left in a clean condition and to report any defects to the supervisor.o Dispose of all categories of waste safely and in accordance with Trust guidelines.o Work on a weekly rota to cover relief shifts during periods of absence and annual leave, which may include weekend and evening working.o To be familiar with and comply with all Trust and departmental policies, procedures.o Attend mandatory training and other training as required. This may include training online using a mobile phone or computer.o Work as part of the team to ensure cleaning tasks are completed in all areas.o Carry out other reasonable duties as required by the supervisors.
