Purpose of Role

This role is part-time (30 hours per week). Facilities Assistant based in Gillingham, Kent, working for Kent Police.

Job Description

We are looking for a Facilities Assistant to represent Kent Police as a first point of contact for members of the public. Responsibilities include providing information, handling enquiries and complaints, offering advice, and supporting general clerical duties to ensure efficient service delivery to the community.

Responsibilities
  • Represent Kent Police as the first point of contact.
  • Operate Police computer systems according to guidelines.
  • Receive and administer property.
  • Ensure the security, safety, and tidiness of the reception area.
  • Work 30 hours per week on a 7-day shift rota, with potential for additional hours.
  • Report to the Public Enquiry Officer Team Leader.
Essential Qualifications/Skills
  • Good GCSE A-C level education (or equivalent), including English and Mathematics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good IT skills; training on Police systems will be provided.
  • Subject to vetting by Kent Police.
