A regional healthcare provider in Retford is seeking Facilities Assistants. Responsibilities include delivering and collecting items across the hospital and assisting with postal services. Previous experience as a Porter is desirable, but training will be provided. Candidates must have a UK driving license. This is a full-time role requiring work across weekends and bank holidays.
An opportunity has arisen for motivated individuals to join our busy Facilities Team at Rampton Hospital as Facilities Assistants in our Portering Department.
Previous experience as a Porter in a hospital environment is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
A full UK driving license and a vehicle for business use are required for this role; reasonable adjustments will be made for disabled individuals in line with the Equality Act 2010.
The role involves working in our main stores, delivering and collecting items around the hospital (linen, waste, goods, property, etc.), assisting with the internal postal service, and supporting office or ward relocations, as well as working in our waste management centre.
Core hours are from 8 am to 5:30 pm, working 7.5 hours per day, 5 days a week over 7 days, including weekends and bank holidays. The shift pattern will be discussed at the interview.
