Job summary

The City of Edinburgh Council is looking for a Facilities Assistant to join the Facilities Management team in Edinburgh. This includes delivering janitorial services across multiple sites, with a pro-rata salary of £26,806–£27,032 for part-time hours.

The role offers flexi hours and opportunities to progress within a permanent position. You will undertake day-to-day FM and cleaning tasks, assist with basic maintenance and security, and support moves and transformations within our estate.

  • Overseas Criminal Record Check if spent time outside UK in last 5 years

Facilities Assistant (Claim to Pay) Various locations within Edinburgh Salary: £26,806 - £27,032 (pro-rata for part-time) Hours: 0 hour contract As a Facilities Assistant with the City of Edinburgh Council, you'll be a key member of our Facilities Management team. You'll deliver a vital janitorial service across our estate to ensure our properties are a safe places to workor learn in. MAJOR TASKS/JOB ACTIVITIES

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. Anunconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
