Job summary

Compass Group UK&I Defence is seeking a dedicated Facilities Assistant in Ipswich to support the smooth operation of our site on a 35-hour week. This full-time role is contracted to 49.2 weeks per year and offers progression within a company that invests in its people.

You will maintain high standards of facilities management, assist with contractor controls, open/close duties, and help keep the site clean and safe while delivering excellent service to customers and colleagues alike.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking minor repairs and maintenance tasks
• Responsible for ensuring the exterior of the site is in a clean, tidy and reasonable state of repair, inclusive of general external maintenance tasks.
• Assisting the facilities team with the control of contractor's process, inclusive of ensuring contractors are signed in correctly, and signed out, and that everyone is adhering to site policies and rules
• Responsible for opening and/or closing the building where required
• Representing Compass Group UK&I and maintaining a positive brand image
• Complying with Health & Safety regulations
