Job summary

Derbyshire Community Health Services NHSFT is inviting applications for an IFM Facilities Assistant. The role encompasses Domestic, Catering and Portering responsibilities across hospital, health centre, and clinic settings, with flexible duties and site coverage as needed.

The post holder will carry out high standards of cleaning and service delivery in clinical and non-clinical areas, while coordinating with drivers and ensuring waste management complies with policy.

Qualifications

• Basic Numeracy is required.
• NVQ in cleaning or equivalent desirable.
• Basic Health & Safety Certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high quality Domestic and Portering Service to hospital, health centre and clinic settings.
• Clean sanitary ware, treatment rooms, waiting areas, office areas, kitchen areas, mirrors, internal glass, high and low dusting, washing of tiled services.
• Move and distribute supplies, linen, mail, waste, specimens and furniture as required; may involve minimal patient movement between departments.
• Liaise with delivery drivers and direct delivery vehicles onto Trust sites.
• Disposal of waste in accordance with the Trust Waste Policy.
