Job description

An exciting new vacancy for a Facilities Assistant has arisen within The Lowry Hotel, Manchester’s iconic five-star hotel.

This role involves supporting the Assistant Chief Engineer within the Facilities department and using the property management system for both preventative and reactive maintenance to ensure the smooth operation of the hotel in accordance with legislation and company procedures.

The responsibilities include responding to and prioritising maintenance requests, ensuring guest safety, and maintaining full hotel functionality. The successful candidate will undertake various maintenance tasks, including electrics, plumbing, carpentry, minor electrical work, and mechanical engineering.

The ideal candidate will possess the skills and experience to perform these tasks to a high standard while respecting guest privacy in a five-star environment.

The working hours are on a shift basis, including weekends, early, and late shifts between 9am and 9pm. Flexibility is essential.
