We are currently recruiting for a Facilities Assistant to join our team at our site in Birchwood Park, Warrington. This is an exciting time to advance your career with us. As a Facilities Assistant, you will support the Facilities Manager in ensuring the smooth operation of the site.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
  • Respond to ad-hoc requests from all business areas.
  • Conduct routine inspections and surveys, identify faults.
  • Manage PPM activities.
  • Perform reception duties, including booking and supervising contractors.
  • Engage with internal and external contacts regarding facilities.
  • Support facilities projects, communicate with teams.
  • Handle basic maintenance tasks like plumbing, moving furniture, changing light bulbs, decorating.
  • Arrange meetings, ensure actions are followed up.
  • Investigate and resolve facilities issues, including risk assessments and audits.
  • Maintain records of maintenance, site details, contracts, legal documents.
  • Process requisitions and follow up on orders.
  • Resolve invoices and requisitions.
  • Support audits and visits related to facilities, H&S, security, etc.
  • Support laboratory facilities and capabilities.
  • Stay updated on facilities management developments.
  • Complete administrative tasks related to facilities.
  • Assist the National Facilities team as needed.

Collaborate with the Quality and Compliance team to align with business strategy.

Additional Information

Due to the sensitive nature of the work, security clearance is required. Applicants must have five years of continuous UK residency. Clearance is subject to vetting standards; criminal convictions may affect eligibility. All successful applicants will undergo drug and alcohol testing prior to employment.
