This role undertakes tasks such as meeting room set-up and AV support, porterage, light handyman duties, mailroom support, and helpdesk. Facilities assistants are the boots on the ground, the eyes and ears of our delivery, and the first point of contact for our customers. They are an intrinsic part of the workplace experience within Google DeepMind offices, the go-to people when you need something done or help with anything workplace-related.
Trained to provide cover for other areas of the client-facing team, such as reception and housekeeping, to really drive the one-team culture across the whole property and workplace team. The key to the success of this role is that they will take accountability for any task they identify or receive. Facilities assistants ensure tasks are completed in a timely fashion and, more importantly, will liaise with the affected Google DeepMind building users to ensure the whole experience is well managed and a truly positive experience. In an active and busy role, the facilities assistants are at the forefront of many customer activities.
A self-motivated, enthusiastic team player who proactively supports the customer and delivers exemplary service. Someone willing to get involved and resolve issues firsthand. Knowledge of Maximo or similar CAFM systems, experience in planning roles using business systems and Google G-Suite, and knowledge of hard services and facilities management sectors are desirable. Educational and vocational qualifications aligned with customer service roles are also preferred.
