Job summary

Oasis Academy Sholing is seeking a dedicated Cluster Facilities Assistant to support the daily operations of the academy and the Facilities Team. You will help maintain a safe, clean, and well-presented educational environment for pupils and staff.

The role runs Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week, with earliest starts around 7am and latest finishes around 6pm. Overtime may be paid for evenings or weekends, and occasional work at nearby Oasis academies may be required.

Qualifications

• Good communication, practical and organizational skills.
• Experience in facilities or estates roles.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the Academy and manage the Facilities Team.
• Maintain grounds and buildings to a high standard.
• Support health and safety and compliance across the estate.
• Occasional work at Oasis Academy Mayfield & Lords Hill to cover holidays; travel expenses paid.

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable Cluster Facilities Assistant to join us in creating an outstanding centre of educational excellence at Oasis Academy Sholing. The successful candidate will be a passionate and driven individual with good communication, practical and organizational skills, and a desire to make a difference to the lives of our pupils and their communities.

The role is Monday - Friday 37 hours per week. The shift patterns are to be confirmed but the earliest start time will be 7am and latest finish time would be 6pm. Any evening or weekend works would be paid as overtime. This post may also include working at local Academies (Oasis Academy Mayfield & Lords Hill) if needed to cover holidays and absence - travel expenses will be paid.

The Property and Estates team offer the Academy an outstanding day to day service of managing and up keeping the grounds and the buildings. The team also maintains a high level of Health and Safety and Compliance. As a Cluster Facilities Assistant you will play an instrumental part in the daily operations of the Academy and management of the Facilities Team.
