Morgan Spencer Limited is seeking a Temporary Facilities / Handyman Assistant to provide holiday cover for a prestigious global IT company in central London. The role suits someone with facilities, maintenance, caretaking or handyman experience who enjoys a varied range of tasks and takes pride in a safe, well-maintained workplace.

You will perform routine safety checks, assist with building services, and report issues promptly to the team.

Qualifications

• Previous facilities, maintenance, caretaking or handyman experience.
• Good understanding of workplace health and safety.
• Proactive and able to work independently.
• Reliable, professional and detail-oriented.
• Comfortable carrying out routine compliance and safety checks.

Responsibilities

• Carry out weekly RCD checks.
• Complete lighting inspections, including fittings and switches.
• Flush unused water outlets.
• Conduct general workplace safety inspections.
• Inspect staircases, handrails and walkways for any hazards.
• Ensure all health and safety signage is visible and in good condition.
• Identify and report trip hazards, including loose cables and uneven flooring.
• Perform external building checks, including windows, doors and drainage.
• Carry out weekly fire alarm tests.
• Report any maintenance issues promptly to the relevant team.
