Job description

Job Title: Facilities Assistant

NHS Highland is seeking a Facilities Assistant to join our team at Islay Hospital and associated sites. This role involves delivering facilities services to departments, wards, and the Gortonvogie Residential Home.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform cleaning, laundry, equipment checks, and food handling duties.
  • Adhere to health and safety, manual handling, and food hygiene standards (training provided).
  • Work on a shift pattern between 07:30 and 18:30, up to 5 days a week.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills, good work ethic, positive attitude, and commitment to high standards.
  • Knowledge of health and safety, manual handling, and food hygiene is desirable but not mandatory.
