Qualifications
- Experience managing or supervising third-party contractors is essential.
- Knowledge of ISO14001 certification is preferred.
- Understanding of Legionella is desirable yet not essential.

Our client is a successful manufacturing company based in the North East, supplying to the major FMCG brands and big 4 supermarket chains. There is currently an opportunity for a Facilities and Environment Controller to join their team on a permanent basis.
This role will have responsibility for the following;
- Organising and controlling the site facilities
- Co-ordination and management of soft facilities and maintenance, contracted cleaning services and pest control
- Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers within the budget
- Ensure RAMS are approved prior to commencement of any work
- Compliance with BRC & ISO accreditations
- Close liaison and support to the QHSE function
- Ensure all legislative requirements are adhered to and compliance of Environmental Permits, consents and current legislation
- Conduct Audits and spot checks to confirm service delivery by both direct employees and sub-contractors are of the required standard
- Review supplier assessment
- Subject our company and sub-contract companies to audit and swiftly implement any corrective actions
The successful applicant will have;
·CIWEM, IEMA or CEnv although this is not essential
·Experience managing/supervising 3rd party contractors
·Knowledge of ISO14001 certification
·Previous experience working within an FMCG or manufacturing environment
·An understand of Legionella – desired although not essential
