Job summary

Cancer Research UK is seeking an experienced team manager for its in-house Face to Face Fundraising team. You will train and lead fundraisers to secure new supporters and help CRUK beat cancer.

The role requires travel across London locations and a strong focus on performance and motivation. Reporting to the Face to Face Manager – In House, you will manage operations at private sites, ensuring training, engagement and achievement of fundraising targets.

Face to Face Fundraising - Team Manager

£35,000 - £38,000 pro-rata plus benefits

Reports to: Face to Face Manager – In House

Directorate: Marketing, Fundraising & Engagement

Contract: 6 month fixed-term contract

Hours: Full time 35 hours per week

Location: Homebase with extensive travel around London, managing teams across multiple locations.

We are looking for an experienced team manager or supervisor with a background in fundraising or sales to join Cancer Research UKs ambitious and dynamic in-house face to face fundraising team.

As a pivotal part of the operation, you will train, develop and lead a team of fundraisers to deliver a high volume of new supporters and contribute heavily towards CRUK’s goal of beating Cancer. You’ll be passionate about people, thrive in a fast-paced environment and understand how to motivate and inspire the general public.

What will I be doing?

• You will take complete ownership of theface-to-faceprivate sites campaignon sitewith full responsibility for the operations successat the location site
• Train, develop and lead a team offieldfundraisersat the private sitesc10
• Working with theFace to FaceManager, report and action aperformance management systemto drive results from your team, leading by example, achieving great fundraising targets
• You will be based in private site venues and events in around London, working in different locations on a rota basis toensure your teams are supported
• Ensure your team members have on-going training and support whilst remaining engaged with the campaign
• Recruit and train new fundraisers
• Report on the operation regularly to various internal stakeholders
• As a line manager you will be responsible for creating a positive culture which recognises success, develops and drives high performance and rewards results to retain talent within the team and wider function
• Setting objectives and KPIs (key performance indicators) for the team, monitoring and tracking over performance with recognition, and supporting under performance through a performance management process

What are we looking for?

• Confident in your ability to fundraise and meettargets offace-to-facefundraising, individually and through your team. This can be through experience within face to face fundraising or a sales role.
• Confidence with remote line management
• Team leadershipexperiencewith knowledgeof training, coaching,performance management,motivatingothersas well as supporting the development ofothers
• This role will require you to work a5-dayweek with high levels of travel
• Excellent communication and customer relation skills with the charisma and confidence to be able to inspire, motivate and drive others to succeed
• Able to work under pressure whilst remaining a true ambassador to our brand
• An in depth and up to date understanding offace to facefundraising compliance and regulationswould be beneficial but isn’t essential
