You will be employed by Engage and Connect Ltd or OneSixty Fundraising, on behalf of Chestnut Tree House. This role supports our Lottery team to raise funds and promote Chestnut Tree House in the local community.

This is a fantastic opportunity for you to promote our work across Sussex, in venues such as shopping centres, or on the doorstep. You’ll be part of a fully supported team, raising awareness of children’s hospice care and encouraging the community to support us, by playing the Chestnut Tree House Lottery, from only £1 per week.

In return, you’ll receive:

  • A contract of employment
  • Access to a reward scheme
  • The option to join their pension scheme after 12 weeks of employment
  • Full training and support
Your skills and experience

Our reputation is of paramount importance, so your approach will be professional and respectful. You will be fully trained to the standards of the Fundraising Regulator to support this.

You’ll be able to instantly strike up rapport with everyone you meet, thanks to your outgoing personality and excellent communication and customer service skills. Ideally, you’ll have door-to-door or face-to-face sales experience too, although full in-house and agency training will be provided.

An understanding and empathy towards children’s charities is a distinct advantage. You must also feel passionately about the work of hospices.

About us

Chestnut Tree House is the children’s hospice for East and West Sussex and South East Hampshire, providing specialist palliative care for children and young people with life shortening conditions.

You will be joining our organisation at a very exciting time, as St Barnabas Hospices and Martlets Hospice are in the process of merging. Bringing our teams and resources together, as one organisation means we can focus on new and exciting visions and plans for our people and patients and provide even greater opportunities for our workforce.
