Job summary

Liverpool John Moores University invites applications for a research position in Face Lab, focusing on craniofacial identification research and 3D digital avatars. You should bring a background in 3D animation, CGI, computer science, and/or anatomical modelling.

Under the direction of Prof Caroline Wilkinson, you will conduct craniofacial studies and casework, contributing to interdisciplinary projects that span forensic identification, digital heritage, and education.

Qualifications

This is an opportunity to apply for a researcher post in Face Lab, relating to craniofacial identification research and 3D digital avatars. You will require a 3D animation, CGI, computer science and/or anatomical modelling background. A knowledge of anatomy and 3D visualisation is desirable. You will be carrying out craniofacial research and casework in Face Lab.

Face Lab, led by Professor Caroline Wilkinson, is an award-winning collaborative unit that combines art and science to explore facial identity and representation. Comprising academics and PhD researchers, it pioneers innovative craniofacial projects in forensic identification and digital heritage, advancing interdisciplinary research and knowledge exchange in heritage, arts, culture, and forensic investigation.
