Job description

U Value Insulation are seeking a highly motivated and technically knowledgeable Facades Sales Manager to drive sales growth and market share for our façade systems and products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction materials, especially building envelopes and external cladding systems, with the ability to develop key relationships with architects, contractors, developers, and specialist installers. This role combines strategic business development with hands-on project support, requiring both commercial acumen and technical fluency in façade solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Business Development

  • Proactively identify and develop new business opportunities in the façade and building envelope sector.
  • Drive the promotion and specification of façade products to architects, consultants, developers, and contractors.
  • Generate and follow up on leads through CRM, industry events, and personal network.

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers across the value chain.
  • Provide technical support and product guidance throughout the project lifecycle—from concept to installation.
  • Deliver presentations, lunch-and-learns, and CPDs to specification stakeholders.

Project & Pipeline Management

  • Track façade projects from early design stage through tender and construction.
  • Manage project pipelines, update CRM, and provide accurate sales forecasting.
  • Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., logistics, procurement, technical) to ensure timely delivery and client satisfaction.

Market & Product Knowledge

  • Maintain a deep understanding of façade systems, fire compliance, acoustics, thermal performance, and relevant regulations.
  • Monitor competitor activity and industry trends to inform pricing strategies and product positioning.
  • Provide feedback to product development teams regarding customer needs and market gaps.

Sales Administration & Reporting

  • Prepare quotations and support tender processes in collaboration with internal teams.
  • Submit weekly/monthly sales reports, pipeline updates, and project progress summaries.
  • Ensure all customer and project data is accurately entered and maintained in CRM systems.
Essential
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in B2B sales, with at least 3 years in a senior sales role related to façade systems.
  • Strong technical knowledge and understanding of façade systems (rainscreen cladding, EWI, curtain walling, insulation, fixings).
  • Proven track record of delivering revenue growth and building key customer relationships.
  • Excellent negotiation, commercial, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and specifications.
  • Self-starter with results-driven approach and ability to work independently.
