Job summary

A construction management firm in the UK is seeking a Project Manager to take ownership of façade, brickwork, and roofing packages. The ideal candidate will have experience on large schemes and in managing subcontractors. Strong communication skills and the ability to motivate teams are essential. Candidates should be IT literate and hold a full clean driving license. This role requires flexibility with site locations across the UK and Ireland.

Qualifications

• Experience on major schemes in offices, residential, hotels or mixed-use.
• Ability to work to deadlines individually and as part of a team.
• Flexibility with regards to site location within the UK & Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Co-ordinate and manage façade elements of projects.
• Order materials for sub-contractors and manage access arrangements.
• Carry out quality assurance inspections.

Job description

Reporting to the Project Director /Contracts Director your primary responsibility will be taking full ownership of the façade, brickwork, and roofing packages.

Main Responsibilities

• You will co-ordinate and manage the façade elements of projects.
• Experience taking full ownership of the façade, brickwork, curtain walling, structural framed sections, external render system, stone cladding, and roofing packages.
• Ordering of materials for labour only sub-contractors
• Organising/coordinating access arrangements for working at height e.g. scaffolding and or mast climbers
• Carry out quality assurance inspections in line with company protocol
• Experience managing sub-contractors.
• Any other duties as required by management.

Education/Experience

• You must have worked on major schemes in offices, residential, hotels or mixed-use schemes.
• You will need experience in managing subcontractors.
• Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to interact with all project personnel.
• Self-motivated and able to encourage the Site Team.
• Well organised with a methodical. energetic, proactive, and confident approach to work
• Ability to work to deadlines individually and as part of a team.
• A full clean driving licence.
• IT literate with a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
• Flexibility with regards to site location within the UK & Ireland.
• Candidates should have the appropriate work permit or the right to work in the UK.
