Job summary

Mitchell Maguire in Basildon is seeking an Estimator Facades to price external finishes including GRC, brick slips, terracotta, renders, aluminium and HPL cladding for projects from £500k to £25m. You will review tender enquiries, liaise with clients and suppliers, conduct site surveys, prepare formal quotations, and maintain tender records.

The role requires strong estimating experience in cladding/facade sectors, plus good communication and organisational skills to meet tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Must have estimating experience within the cladding / façade / building envelope industry.
• Strong understanding of rainscreen and curtain walling is highly advantageous.
• Understanding of Onscreen Takeoff software package.
• Must be an outgoing character who will be an integral part of the team.
• High levels of organisation and excellent time management.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
• Proactive and motivated individual with strong commercial awareness.

Responsibilities

• Review tender enquiries to understand project requirements.
• Liaise with clients to obtain any additional information required.
• Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to obtain competitive prices.
• Carry out site surveys as and when required.
• Produce formal quotations to clients.
• Keep good documentation of tenders and quotations on internal database.
• Build and maintain relationships with contractors and vendors.
• Prioritising workload to ensure deadlines are met.
• Estimate for projects from £500k - £25m.
