Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Facade Engineer to join our expanding facade team with offices in Bristol, Reading or London. You will contribute to complex building envelope projects across the UK, guiding design through construction with a multidisciplinary team.

This engineering-led role requires strong technical capability, a collaborative approach and a drive to learn and progress toward chartered status. Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential; Revit and engineering analysis software are beneficial.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in façade engineering, structural engineering, or building envelope design.
• Knowledge of façade systems, materials, and construction methodologies.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with Revit and engineering analysis software is beneficial.
• Understanding of UK building regulations and façade-related standards.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of projects from concept to completion with focus on technical design of cladding, glazing, precast and curtain wall systems.
• Carry out structural analysis, loads, movements, fixings and tolerances to develop safe façade solutions.
• Perform thermal bridging and U-value assessments to support compliance with building regulations.
• Assist in preparing drawings, details, specifications and reports; review contractor submissions for design intent aligned with UK standards.
• Attend site visits to review workmanship, compliance and design implementation.
