Job summary

AKT II is seeking a highly motivated Façade Designer in London to contribute to engineering design projects. You will be responsible for producing detailed designs and technical drawings across various sectors, including healthcare, retail, and industrial.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience with substantial knowledge of BS/EN standards.
• Strong understanding of engineering aspects of façade design and construction.
• Strong communication skills in writing and sketching.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clients and architects for façade design.
• Create detailed designs and calculations as per project requirements.
• Evaluate compliance of design deliverables with specifications.

Skills

Experience presenting ideas

Sketching

Competence in 2D and 3D CAD software

Understanding of thermal performance and condensation risk

Understanding structural mechanics principles

Knowledge of materials and installation techniques

Report writing

Familiarity with façade system designs

Ability to manage design changes

Education

Relevant degree (Facade Engineering, Architecture, Building Engineering, Structural Engineering)

Relevant postgraduate degree
