Job summary

Workforce Staffing is recruiting for a Fabricator Welder in Brierley Hill to join a busy engineering and manufacturing team. The role focuses on fabrication, fitting and assembly with MIG welding as a key part of the process.

You will work with mild steel including box section, tube and heavy-gauge materials, taking projects from start to finish to engineering drawings. The position offers £18.00 per hour, a 40-hour week, Monday to Friday day shifts in a full‑time role within a established

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Fabricator Welder or Fabricator within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Strong fabrication skills, including measuring, marking out, cutting, drilling, fitting and assembly.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings confidently.
• Experience working with mild steel, box section, tube and heavy‑gauge materials.
• MIG welding experience.
• Experience working with material thicknesses ranging from 2mm to 35mm.
• A keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing high‑quality work.
• A reliable, practical and hardworking approach.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out fabrication work from start to finish using engineering drawings.
• Measuring, marking out and preparing materials accurately.
• Cutting, drilling, fitting and assembling mild steel components.
• Fabricating structures and components using box section, tube and heavy‑gauge steel.
• MIG welding fabricated components and assemblies as required.
• Working with steel thicknesses ranging from 2mm to 35mm.
• Ensuring components meet the required dimensions and specifications.
• Inspecting finished work to maintain high standards of quality and accuracy.
• Maintaining a safe, tidy and organised working environment.
