Job summary

Apex Resource Management is recruiting an Automotive Fabricator Welder for a luxury automotive brand near Daventry. The role is on a contract basis with a salary of £48,000 per annum and a path to permanent employment.

You will work in a modern facility on day shifts, performing full shell restorations, MIG/TIG welding, and precise fabrication using donor vehicles and roll cages to the highest standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in automotive fabrication and welding.
• Ability to work to extremely tight tolerances and precision.
• Skilled with 1-2mm thin gauge sheet metal work.
• Familiarity with donor vehicle restorations and roll cages.

Responsibilities

• Perform full car shell restorations using donor vehicles.
• Carry out MIG and TIG welding to high standards.
• Cut out and replace corrosion areas with precision.
• Fabricate steel parts and sheet metal components as needed.
• Fit and weld roll cages to exacting specifications.

About the Role:

As an integral part of the body restoration team, you will be responsible for full car shell restorations using donor vehicles. Working with precision and skill, you'll engage in MIG & TIG welding, cut out, and replace corrosion areas, and perform steel fabrication and sheet metal work (1-2mm thickness). Your role will involve panel forming, restoration, and the fitting and welding of roll cages to the highest standards.

The Ideal Person:

We are seeking a highly skilled Automotive Fabricator Welder with extensive hands-on experience in automotive fabrication and welding.

The ability to work to extremely tight tolerances, strong proficiency in steel fabrication and thin gauge sheet metal work (1-2mm), and expertise in MIG & TIG welding are essential.

Candidates with a background in rally car or competition preparation, motorsport bench welding, and experience in restorations and donor vehicles will thrive in this environment.

A keen eye for detail and the ability to deliver a high-quality finish are must-haves.
