Job description

We are currently looking for experienced Fabricator/Welders to work for one of our clients in the Burton on Trent area.

The client is a manufacturer of specialist equipment to a range of industry sectors including oil and gas, food, and processing.

Due to the specialist nature of the products, the work is both interesting and varied and involves the fabrication of metal structures, working from engineering drawings, from base materials to finished products. Responsibilities include:

1. Marking out
2. Metal preparation
3. Cutting
4. Bending
5. Assembly
6. Welding

The work primarily involves the fabrication of carbon steel and possibly some stainless steel.

The ideal candidates must be experienced Fabricators. The ability to carry out MIG welding to a reasonable standard would be advantageous.

Previous experience working on the fabrication of a wide range of material thicknesses is required. Additionally, skills in plating/fabrication activities such as cutting, rolling, bending, etc., and the ability to work from drawings are essential.
