Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION

NOV is seeking a Fabricator Welder based in Middleton, Greater Manchester.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Produce quality fabrications and welds using appropriate equipment in a timely, safe, and efficient manner.
• Read engineering drawings, use precision measuring instruments, and interpret job orders to determine dimensions, tolerances, and tooling requirements.
• Possess experience with MIG and TIG welding techniques.
• Load parts with overhead lifting equipment, operate controls, de-burr, and inspect quality parts for conformance.
• Identify potential problems before production runs, monitor fabrications and welds, and adjust controls as needed.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work environment and perform basic preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Perform additional tasks as required by business needs.
• Comply with NOV policies and procedures related to Quality and HSE.
• Carry out other duties as reasonably expected by the line manager.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Completed a recognized apprenticeship in a fabrication or welding discipline, equivalent to City and Guilds Level 3 or NVQ Level 3.

Additional Skills and Knowledge:

• Understanding of welding materials and processes per ASME standards.
• Computer literacy.
