Hewett Recruitment is seeking an experienced Fabricator Welder in Worcestershire for a full-time role with a late shift (12:00pm – 8:00pm) on a temp-to-perm basis. The position requires MIG welding skills and the ability to fabricate from technical drawings across 1mm–20mm thicknesses.

The role includes approximately 12 weeks of training on the day shift before moving to the late shift, and it sits within an established manufacturing and engineering operation.

Fabricator Welder

Location: Worcestershire
Pay: £16.00 per hour
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Shift: Late shift, 12:00pm - 8:00pm

Our client are recruiting for an experienced Fabricator Welder to join their established manufacturing and engineering operation.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced fabricator with strong MIG welding skills who is confident working from technical drawings and fabricating with material thicknesses ranging from 1mm through to 20mm.

The successful candidate will initially undertake approximately 12 weeks of training on the day shift, before moving permanently onto the 12:00pm - 8:00pm late shift.

The Role

Working as part of the fabrication team, you will be responsible for producing fabricated components accurately and to the required specifications.

The position requires someone with strong practical fabrication skills who can confidently interpret technical drawings and complete MIG welding across a range of material thicknesses.

Responsibilities will include:

• MIG welding materials ranging from 1mm to 20mm
• Completing fabrication work to required specifications
• Reading and interpreting technical and engineering drawings
• Preparing materials and components ready for fabrication and welding
• Using appropriate fabrication, welding and hand tools
• Producing work accurately to required quality standards
• Inspecting completed work to ensure a high standard of workmanship
• Working effectively as part of the wider manufacturing team
• Maintaining good attention to detail throughout the fabrication process

Applicants must be experienced Fabricator Welders, rather than candidates with welding-only experience, due to the level of fabrication involved within the position.
