Overview

Welder / Fabricator

Contract Personnel are seeking a skilled and motivated Welder/Fabricator to join the growing team at a well established engineering company, who specialise in the manufacture of bespoke architectural fabrications and structural steelwork delivering high-quality, tailored solutions to their clients. This is an excellent opportunity for a fabricator with a keen eye for detail and a passion for craftsmanship to be part of a supportive and experienced team.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out MIG and TIG welding to a high standard (MMA experience desirable).
• Fabricating a wide variety of components from different materials, including stainless steel and mild steel.
• Reading, interpreting, and working from detailed engineering drawings.
• Working on bespoke one-off projects as well as repeat production items.
• Using a range of fabrication processes (cutting, drilling, grinding, finishing, assembly).
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment in line with company standards.
• Collaborating with a small, dedicated team to deliver projects on time and to specification.

Required skills/experience

• Proven experience as a welder/fabricator in a workshop environment.
• Proficiency in MIG and TIG welding (MMA advantageous).
• Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Skilled in a variety of fabrication techniques.
• High attention to detail and pride in producing quality work.
• A reliable, team-focused individual with good problem-solving skills.

Employment details

Full-time • Permanent

Hours: Monday to Friday
Monday - Thursday: 7:30am - 4:00pm
Friday: 7:30am - 2:30pm
39 hours per week (unlimited over time available paid at time and a half)

Pay: £17.50 per hour
