Job summary

Exyte in the United Kingdom seeks a Time Served Welder/Fabricator to support the fabrication and welding of HVAC and specialist products. The role involves pre-assembly tasks, sheet metal work on stainless and carbon steel, welding, and weld repairs, all in compliance with welding procedures and SHEQ standards.

Experience in regulated environments is advantageous. The successful candidate will contribute to delivering high-quality components for safety-critical systems and engage with production

Qualifications

• Time served welder or coded welder.
• Experience with fabricating sheet metal to exacting tolerances.
• Nuclear regulatory experience is beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out pre-assembly tasks on HVAC manufacturing equipment.
• Perform sheet metal tasks on stainless & carbon steel HVAC products 0.8mm–10mm.
• Weld stainless & carbon steel HVAC products per welding procedures.
• Complete weld repairs per welding procedures.
• Comply with welding standards and SHEQ practices.
• Support manufacturing team to meet deliverables.

Joining the manufacturing team & reporting to production supervisors. This role is Fabricating & Welding safety critical HVAC & specialist products. This role requires a combination of technical expertise & precision across various product types/materials.

Explore Your Tasks And Responsibilities

• Carry out all duties in accordance with weekly plans.
• Carry out pre-assembly tasks (Prep) on all machinery associated with the manufacture of HVAC products.
• Perform sheet metal tasks on both stainless steel & carbon steel HVAC products ranging from 0.8mm to 10mm.
• Complete all sheet metal duties associated with all product types in accordance with work instruction and project specifications.
• Perform tack welding tasks during manufacture.
• Perform welding tasks on both stainless steel & carbon steel HVAC products ranging from 0.8mm to 10mm.
• Complete all welding duties associated with all product types (Folded & Welded) in accordance with welding procedures.
• Complete weld repair activities in accordance with welding procedures.
• Understand & comply with associated welding standards.
• Comply in full with manufacturing SHEQ best practice/ behaviours and legislation.
• Support the manufacturing team in achieving deliverables.

Show Your Expertise

• Experience in highly regulated nuclear application would be beneficial but not essential.
