Job summary

Project Start Recruitment Solutions Limited is seeking a Fabricator / Welder (Industrial Manufacturing) in the Bury/Bolton area to fabricate and weld metal components with MIG, operating press brakes, shears, and cutting tools on a busy shop floor.

You will join a large manufacturing team, with a typical day starting early and requiring good attention to detail and reliable transport due to site location in the North West.

Qualifications

• Proven background in Fabrication.
• Grinding, Gouging, and Polishing.
• Own transport required.
• An eye for detail and the ability to work to tight tolerances.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to absorb large quantities of information.

Responsibilities

• Operate fabrication machinery such as press brakes, shears, and cutting tools.
• Use deburring methods and hand and power tools to finish components.
• Ensure final products are prepared for shipping to customers.

Our client is a global provider of high performance, high protection systems.

They offer a full turnkey project management service – from concept, through to developing a design, to manufacture, and then through to installation,

Their Manufacturing Team are now looking for a Fabricator to join their team.

JOB PURPOSE

You will be responsible for theOperation of fabrication machinery such as press brakes, shears, and cutting tools., where you will be using deburring methods and hand and power tools, to achieve the final product, before the item is shipped to the customer.

JOB OVERVIEW

An experienced Fabricator / Welder with MIG experience. Ideally with a minimum of 3 years experience within similar role, you will be part of a large team manufacturing large protection systems and steel doors.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Proven background in Fabrication

Grinding, Gouging, and Polishing

Own transport required.

An eye for detail and the ability to work to tight tolerances is imperative.

Effective communication skills and the ability to absorb large quantities of information.

SALARY & BENEFITS

06.30 am – 4.15 pm or later shift at 07.00 am – 4.45 pm.

37 hours working on the shop floor.

£18.72 per hour, rising to £19.22 per hour after probation
