Job summary

Exyte in the United Kingdom is seeking a Time Served Welder/Coded Welder to contribute to the fabrication and welding of safety‑critical HVAC and specialist products. The role requires precision across various metal types and adheres to strict welding procedures.

Responsibilities include pre‑assembly, sheet metal work, welding, and welding repair per project specifications, with a strong emphasis on SHEQ compliance and teamwork to meet production deliverables.

Qualifications

• Time Served Welder/Coded Welder required.
• Time Served Sheet Metal Worker/Fabricator (NVQ/Sitting & Guilds) required.
• Experience in highly regulated nuclear applications would be beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out all duties in accordance with weekly plans.
• Carry out pre-assembly tasks (Prep) on all machinery associated with the manufacture of HVAC products.
• Perform sheet metal tasks on both stainless steel & carbon steel HVAC products ranging from 0.8mm to 10mm.
• Complete all sheet metal duties associated with all product types in accordance with work instructions and project specifications.
• Perform tack welding tasks during manufacture.
• Perform welding tasks on both stainless steel & carbon steel HVAC products ranging from 0.8mm to 10mm.
• Complete all welding duties associated with all product types (Folded & Welded) in accordance with welding procedures.
• Complete weld repair activities in accordance with welding procedures.
• Understand & comply with associated welding standards.
• Comply in full with manufacturing SHEQ best practice/ behaviours and legislation.
• Support the manufacturing team in achieving deliverables.

Joining the manufacturing team & reporting to production supervisors. This role is Fabricating & Welding safety critical HVAC & specialist products. This role requires a combination of technical expertise & precision across various product types/materials.
