Job description

This is a varied role based in a busy commercial shipyard which will also involve some offsite work, so a full UK driving licence is essential.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a fabricator/welder in ship repair or other heavy industries (e.g., marine, oil & gas, infrastructure, or energy).

  • Proficient in FCAW, MMA, and MIG welding processes.

  • Ideally apprenticeship-trained or holds a Level 3 qualification in fabrication/welding - however, candidates with strong proven industry experience will also be considered.

  • Comfortable working from engineering drawings and in line with safety and quality standards.

  • Must have a full UK driving licence due to offsite work.

  • Competitive hourly rate dependant on experience (top rate currently 20.50/hr, salary c. 37,500 - 42,600)

  • Overtime at x1.5 after 40 hours per week.
