Job Overview: Fabricator Welder
Join our team as a Fabricator Welder where you will play a crucial role in our fabrication process. As a Metal Fabricator, you will be responsible for reading engineering drawings, fabricating metal components, welding to high standards, and ensuring quality output according to customer requirements.

Responsibilities: Fabricator Welder
- Read and interpret engineering drawings accurately to fabricate metal components within specified tolerances.
- Fabricate units based on order forms to meet customer requirements.
- Perform welding using stick welding techniques to ensure high-quality welds.
- Safely operate power tools, including grinders, and hand tools for fabrication tasks.
- Inspect fabricated parts for quality assurance and report any non-conformances promptly.
- Maintain a clean work environment, minimize material waste, and conserve energy.
- Utilize jigs and fixtures to standardize production tasks and maintain consistent output quality.
- Collaborate with team members, assist in other basic processes as needed, and demonstrate good teamwork skills.
- Adhere to company health and safety, quality, and environmental procedures at all times.

Skills:
- Proficiency in basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
- Experience with power tools and hand tools used in metal fabrication processes.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical principles to effectively fabricate metal components.
- Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication techniques.
- Skilled in assembling fabricated parts accurately.

Job Type: Temporary

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Braintree, Essex: reliably commute or find digs

Experience:

  • Fabrication: 4 years (preferred)
  • MIG welding: 4 years (preferred)

Work authorisation: Must have a right to work in the UK
