Job description

Job Title: Fabricator/Welder
Job Location: Barnsley
Shift Pattern: Days
Salary: £15 – £18 per hour (depending on experience) + Overtime at 1.5x (after 40 hours/week)

Key Responsibilities:

• MIG and TIG welding of mild and stainless steel

• Fabricating components using hand tools and workshop equipment

• Grinding and polishing welds to achieve seamless finishes

• Reading and interpreting manufacturing drawings

• Following all health and safety standards in a workshop setting

• Collaborating with a team to meet production targets

• Occasional site work as required

Requirements:

• Proven experience in MIG and TIG welding

• Confident using hand tools and workshop machinery

• Experience working with varying material thicknesses and sizes

• Ability to polish and grind welds to a high finish

• Competent in reading and interpreting technical drawings

• Positive, reliable and flexible attitude

• Full UK Driving Licence

• Able to commute to the Barnsley-based workshop
