Overview

Location: Barnard Castle. Hours: 38 hours per week - 4 days per week Monday to Thursday. 3 day weekend! Salary: £16.00 per hour. We are seeking an experienced Welder Fabricator to join our client's team in Barnard Castle for a company that manufactures and assembles structural buildings and other projects relating to this industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for welding and fabricating high-quality metal products to meet the specifications of the job. Based in the workshop fabricating and welding the metalwork with a separate team for installations you would spend 99% of your time at work in the workshop.

Responsibilities
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints
  • Setting up and operating welding equipment, including MIG welders
  • Performing welding tasks using various welding techniques
  • Fabricating sheet metal parts using hand and power tools
  • Ensuring that finished products meet quality standards and specifications
  • Inspecting completed work to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Maintaining equipment and tools in good working order
  • Following safety guidelines and procedures at all times
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of welding and fabricating experience
  • Proficiency in MIG welding techniques
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
  • Strong knowledge of metal fabrication techniques and equipment
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
  • Good problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
