Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Fabricator / Relief HGV Driver to join our team in our Sudbury Timber Engineering Branch.

If you’re in the trade or have ever tackled a home improvement project, you’ve probably heard of us. You'll be working in our newly formed Timber Engineering manufacturing facility in Sudbury, manufacturing roof trusses, posi joists, spandrel, and gable panels.

We are seeking motivated, energetic individuals to join our growing production team. You will need the ability to work well as part of a team in manufacturing engineered timber products, as well as on your own initiative. The successful candidate will need to be a good communicator who is approachable, positive, and polite. Basic numeracy and literacy skills are required for this role.

Here’s a quick overview of some of the responsibilities for a Fabricator/Relief HGV with Huws Gray:

1. Manufacturing engineered timber products as part of a team or independently
2. Using industry technology such as automated presses and laser systems
3. Reading dimensioned drawings and working to accurate measurements
4. Making deliveries in branch vehicles as required

We value individuality and offer plenty of training to help you succeed as a Truss, Joist & Panel Fabricator. Previous woodworking experience is advantageous. A Class 2 licence is also required.
