Fabricator / Fitter / Assembly

The Role:
We are looking for a mechanical fitter to join a busy company based in Wakefield, West Yorkshire.
Due to expansion, we are now looking for an experienced mechanical engineer who can ensure that the plant and equipment runs safely and efficiently at all times with the aim of minimising downtime.

Responsibilities

1. Mechanical fitting and assembly of mechanical components such as:
1. Precision machined parts in various materials
2. Welding experience
3. Conveyors / Motors / Gearboxes
4. Valves / Nozzles
5. Pneumatics / Hydraulics
6. Ability to read and understand mechanical engineering drawings
7. Ideally from a machinery / process machinery assembly background

The successful applicant must be a team player, be flexible, positive & self-motivated with a can-do attitude to work. Good initiative and the ability to keep up to pace with all aspects of the work required.

The Hours:
Monday - Thursday 6.45am - 3.45pm / Friday 6.45am - 11.45am

The Pay:
You will earn an hourly rate between £14-£16 per hour depending on experience.
