Job Description

Are you an experienced Fabrication Supervisor looking for a new role and a 4 day week Monday to Thursaday? We are working with our Manufacturing client to support them in their search as they offer this position on a perm or temp to perm basis, which ever would suit. Great working environment and supportive, forward thinking managment team.


Hours of Work: Dayshift (4 day week)


Mon to Thurs: 0630 to 1700


Pay Rate: £37000 per annum with overtime available



Reporting to the Operations Manager, The Fabrication Supervisor will have responsibility for hitting production targets and key delivery dates.


Responsibilities Include



  • Collaborating with planning using the Tetris management system.

  • Monitoring hours worked and providing budget feedback.

  • Managing the factory workforce to keep them productive and engaged.

  • Ensuring Health & Safety standards with the SHEQ manager.

  • Overseeing quality management.

  • Working with design, technical, and procurement teams.

  • Mentoring and developing the workforce through training and inspections.

  • Maintaining discipline.

  • Assessing and proposing improvements for plant and equipment.

  • Supporting the broader factory management team.


Person Specification



  • Liaise with Supervisors to meet departmental expectations.

  • Ensure daily submission of time sheets.

  • Act as the catalyst for implementing new developments in the factory.

  • Manage stock movement to maintain workflow.

  • Oversee Health & Safety in manufacturing.

  • Develop procurement and manufacturing processes, and analyze commercials.

  • Educate the floor on engineering aspects of the job.

  • Drive commercial management as projects progress.

  • Introduce techniques, manage quality, and oversee testing and concessions pre-manufacture.

  • Manage holidays and training within the department.

  • Handle ITPs.

  • Plan and organise materials/components for efficient job execution.



Essential Technical Skills Required



  • Knowledge of Fabrication Processes

  • Working with Sheet Metal

  • Experience in welding aluminium

  • MIG and TIG proficient
