Fabrication of Jackets for Offshore Wind - EU

Roles: Project Manager, Engineering Manager, Package Manager, Construction Manager

Opportunity for an experienced engineer to play a leading role working with Offshore Wind developers.

This role is suitable for Package Managers, Engineering Managers, Tech Leads, Project Managers, Client Representatives, Owner Engineers, or Consultants. The position involves leading collaborations with developers and fabricators for Offshore Wind Farm (OWF) foundations, managing technical and commercial aspects related to the fabrication of offshore foundation packages.

Please note: Must have experience in Fabrication of Jackets.

Essential Qualifications and Experience
  • Degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Structural Engineering.
  • Experience in Fabrication of Jackets for Offshore Wind.
  • Knowledge of Jacket Foundations.
Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Experience in Steel Fabrication for Offshore Wind.
  • Experience working with Fabrication yards such as Smulders, Bladt, H&W, BiFab, Offshore Structures Britain.
  • Familiarity with EPCI (Engineering, Procurement, Construction & Installation), BOP, Offshore Installation Contractors, energy developers, utilities, or engineering consultancies involved in offshore construction projects, particularly offshore wind.
  • Effective communication skills for developing and maintaining relationships with developers and contractors.
Role Responsibilities
  • Collaborate closely with clients, contractors, and developers on diverse projects, including detailed design for offshore wind foundation fabrication—Jackets.
  • Lead technical clarifications during bid processes for Jacket fabrication.
  • Oversee design, specifications, procurement, and management of the Jacket fabrication package during project planning and development.
  • Contribute technical and commercial input to procurement strategies for the fabrication package, including tendering and selecting advisors, suppliers, and contractors.

Projects require close collaboration across departments and consultation with specialists. Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills are essential to handle the demands of a multidisciplinary team.

Role is hybrid: WFH with some office presence and occasional site visits to fabrication yards.
