Fabrication Tech Lead / Construction Manager - Offshore Wind Jackets

Fabrication of Jackets for Offshore Wind - EU

Opportunity for experienced engineers to play a leading role working with Offshore Wind developers.

This role is suitable for Package Managers, Engineering Managers, Tech Leads, Project Managers, Client Representatives, Owner Engineers, or Consultants. The position involves working with developers and fabricators for Offshore Wind Farm (OWF) Foundations, managing technical and commercial aspects related to the fabrication of various offshore packages for foundation projects.

Please note: Candidates must have experience in the fabrication of jackets.

Essential Requirements
  1. Degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Structural Engineering.
  2. Experience in the fabrication of jackets for offshore wind.
  3. Knowledge of jacket foundations.
Advantages
  • Experience in steel fabrication for offshore wind.
  • Experience working with fabrication yards such as Smulders, Bladt, H&W, BiFab, Offshore Structures Britain.
  • Experience with EPCI (Engineering, Procurement, Construction & Installation), BOP (Balance of Plant), offshore installation contractors, energy developers, utilities, or engineering consultancies in offshore construction projects, with exposure to offshore wind construction.
  • Effective communication skills for developing and nurturing relationships with developers and contractors.
Role Responsibilities

Working closely with clients, contractors, and developers, projects include detailed design for fabrication of offshore wind foundations - jackets.

  • Lead technical clarification during bid processes for jacket fabrication.
  • Oversee design, specification, procurement, and management of the jacket fabrication package during project planning and development.
  • Provide technical and commercial input to procurement strategies to identify, tender, and select advisors, suppliers, and contractors.

Projects require collaboration across departments and consultation with specialists. Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills are essential to manage the demands of a multidisciplinary team.

This is a hybrid role involving WFH, office work, and occasional site visits to fabrication yards.
