Fabrication Manager

Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate and manage the day-to-day operations of the fabrication department.
  2. Plan, organize, and schedule production tasks to meet project deadlines and customer requirements.
  3. Oversee the entire fabrication process, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
  4. Monitor and optimize workflow, implementing process improvements where necessary.
  5. Manage a team of skilled fabricators, providing leadership and guidance to maximize productivity and efficiency.
  6. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide training and development opportunities to enhance team skills.
  7. Collaborate with engineering and procurement departments to ensure smooth project execution.
  8. Maintain a safe and clean working environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  9. Monitor and control fabrication costs, utilizing resources efficiently to meet budget constraints.
  10. Identify and implement measures to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and enhance overall productivity.

Requirements:

  • Ability to draw using AutoCAD.
  • Proven experience as a Fabrication Manager or similar role in manufacturing.
  • In-depth knowledge of fabrication processes, equipment, and standards.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Proficient in reading technical drawings and interpreting specifications such as CAD.
  • Familiarity with quality control principles and ISO standards.
  • Proven track record of meeting production targets and delivering high-quality outputs.
