Job summary

West Cumberland Engineering Limited is seeking an experienced estimator to handle a broad range of manufacturing projects, from small works to multi-million pound contracts. The role involves preparing tenders, liaising with clients, suppliers and subcontractors, and supporting the business in winning future work.

You will draw on experience in engineering, fabrication or similar estimating roles, interpret drawings and client specs, and prepare accurate labour, material and subcontract cost

Qualifications

• Experience in Engineering, Fabrication or similar estimating roles.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications and client requirements.
• Experience preparing accurate labour, material, subcontract and project cost estimates.
• Strong commercial awareness with an ability to work close with, engineering, production and project management.

Responsibilities

• Estimating a wide range of, manufacturing projects, from smaller works through to multi-million pound contracts.
• Preparing and submitting competitive tenders and quotations.
• Liasing with clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
• Supporting the business in securing and delivering future work.
