Come and join us as a Fabrication Engineer at our Sandtoft site inDoncaster.

Utilising experience and methods for fabrication, you will weld and fabricate spare parts, equipment for use in the industry, working as part of a small team of 2/3 on fabrication or repair projects.

You will carry out installations of equipment manufactured in the workshop along with equipment supplied from external sources and assist with factory shut down periods on maintenance or mechanical projects.

Duties Are Varied And Include

  • Assist with maintenance/mechanical work factory shut down periods
  • Interpreting engineering drawings and assembly instructions
  • Checking measurements and dimensions and product specifications
  • Using assess equipment, structures, materials, and job specifications for appropriate welding positions and methods
  • Ensuring that all the required parts for assembly are present
  • Sourcing required material form stock area, marking and cutting of material
  • Cut materials using different methods flame cutting, plasma cutter, horizontal and vertical band saws, powered guillotine and press
  • Form materials into various shapes by use of rollers and powered brake press
  • Ensuring that all parts are properly fitted, aligned etc.
  • Ensuring that quality control standards are met
  • Follows safety protocol
  • Use the company forklifts or other relevant lifting equipment to load, manoeuvre or position work pieces or materials

Overnight stays will be required on occasion as you will be supporting our factory sites across the UK.

Hours Of Work

Monday to Thursday, 7.00am to 5.00pm and Friday, 7.00am to 2.30pm

About You

  • You will have previous experience as a Fabrication Engineer/Fabricator and you will have completed a mechanical engineering apprenticeship with City & Guilds.
  • You will have strong knowledge of cutting and grinding regulations, arc and MIG/TIG welding, and bearing fitting.
  • Health and safety is a priority for us, so youll have a passion for high standards and experience working in a health and safety environment.

You Will Also Have

  • Good communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Experience with both small and large fabrications
  • Experience installing various equipment, and maintenance/diagnostics of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
