Job summary

Simpson Booth in Burnley is seeking an experienced Project Delivery Engineer to lead cross‑functional projects from mobilisation through to completion. You will coordinate people, equipment and materials, work with engineering, fabrication, welding, coating, production and commercial teams, and ensure safety, quality and timely delivery.

The role requires hands‑on fabrication understanding, the ability to manage risks and changes, produce reports, and deputise for the Senior Project Delivery

Qualifications

• Experience in project operations and delivery within fabrication or engineering environments.
• Strong coordination skills across engineering, fabrication, production and commercial teams.
• Good understanding of fabrication processes and workshop operations.
• Ability to manage priorities, risks, changes and deadlines.
• Excellent communication with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and support delivery of projects from mobilisation to completion.
• Work with Engineering, Fabrication, Welding, Coating, Production and Commercial teams to meet requirements.
• Manage resources, schedules, plans and progress reporting.
• Monitor milestones, dependencies and risks; implement contingency plans.
• Prepare progress reports, proposals and documentation; deputise for the Senior Manager when required.
• Support commercial activities including cost monitoring and invoicing.
